People like quoting my post on SI from 2000, but I'm not sure the people quoting it actually understand it. Everyone forgets that I posted it on a thread called "making money and preserving capital" Sure, all stocks are shit, but it doesn't mean you can't make money off of them. I read lots and lots of PRs and think to myself, "that is total bullshit", then I think to myself "Someone is going to believe that....". So I buy that shitty stock. In general, the stock market makes no sense at all. People only buy stuff because they think they can sell it to someone else for more. It used to be about dividends from prospering companies. That is no more the case. It is just buy the shit and see if some other dumbass wants to pay more. I've forgotten the point of this... My meds are kicking in...
