VANCOUVER, March 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Robert L. Card , President of Arrowstar Resources Ltd., (TSXV: AWS), (the "Company") reports that the Company has filed its application for a drilling permit on its Snettisham iron ore prospect located near Juneau, Alaska. The Company recently completed a ground magnetic survey of the property and coordinated the results with previously secured surface sample results. The drilling permit covers a proposed 3,600 meters of drilling comprised of 9 to 15 holes ranging in depth from 200 to 500 metres. Initial review has identified three high magnetic intensity areas over a 750 metre distance with the largest area having a magnetic intensity greater than 78,000 nanoTeslas over an ellipsoidal surface area of approximately 750 metres by 750 metres. The foreshore where significant magnetite outcrop was located in the June 2012 rock chip survey measured 71,500 nanoTeslas.
The drilling program is designed to determine the extent of the mineralization at depth, the mineralogy and petrology, the contact rock and the magnitude of the mineralization. With this data, a NI 43-101 Report will be prepared to report on the drilling results and the extent of the mineralization.
The Company also announces the signing of a drilling contract with Black Rock Drilling of Spokane, WA. The Company expects to initiate the drilling within 2-3 weeks of receiving approval of the permit from the seven different government organizations we have submitted our documents to.

OPEX of 80$/T will be their 1st target, when this thing is going into production.


The estimated Opex at this time - before a 43-101 and PFS is $80/T all in - that includes everything - amort of Capex, shipping, insurance , this will be for an estimated 1M T/yr production. At present prices of $158/T that leaves a gross of $70/T or $70M/yr.

The Capex will be very low - $13M for the mine and another $20M for the port facilities.
50M$ for mine and port - just to be on the safe side. AWS don't have lots of money to raise. Capex of 50M$ will be extraordinary low compaired to their peers in the same sector!!

The port will handle up to 5M T/yr with no added cost - at that is target production once the production volume has increased.

An extra million T/yr can be added from cash flow for each about $10M/T capacity. Arrowstar will anticipate expanding the capacity as soon as cash flow started, so by the 2nd yr it could be 2-3 MT/yr.

AWS will start moving along faster the following weeks.

Folks, it seems like we are at the finish line of a very long period of waiting for the filing of the drilling applications.

After it's filed the comment period of 30d should be used to setup a financing.

Arrowstar Adds Claims To Alaska Iron Project

Vancouver, B.C. -- January 16, 2013 - Robert L. Card, President of Arrowstar Resources Ltd., ("Arrowstar" or the "Company") (TSXV: AWS), is pleased to announce that the Company has staked an additional 21 claims adjacent to and continuous with its Port Snettisham, Alaska iron ore claim block (the "Claims").

The Claims adjoin the present claim block to the east and south in an area potentially extending an area of magnetic highs indicated during the Company's geophysical surveys conducted this past summer. The new claim block expands the Company's project area by about 43%.

The Company is presently preparing an application for a drilling permit, with the new ground being acquired, the application can be completed and filed. Once the approval has been received the Company will commence a diamond drill program designed to facilitate a National Instrument 43-101 Report outlining potential quality and quantity of the iron resources on the Claims.

In 1970, Marcona Corporation of San Francisco announced a plan to spend $130 million to place this property into production at the rate of 5 million tons per year. Unfortunately, the decline of iron prices caused the project to be delayed and was subsequently dropped.

The Company also announces the resignation of Peter Arendt as a director of the Company effective January 15, 2013. Peter is very busy spending 90% of his time managing a coal project in Indonesia. Currently focussed on developing the Port Snettisham iron Ore project. Now at drilling stage and looking to produce an inferred or indicated resource estimate. Previous estimates for iron ore pellet production have been in the 100's millions of tonnes. Project is located on a deep channel near Juneau and requires a loading port to be constructed. Two lots of chemical analysis looks excellent with High Fe and FeO, low S, P and Al2O3. The free ride might be the high Vanadium levels in some of the samples but yet to explore this fully.
