Quintet remains focused on strategic acquisitions and implementing our Canadian cannabis retail licensing strategy to acquire retail licenses in each of the Western provinces.

Highlights & Updates: 

• Acquiring Ontario Licensed Producer - Quality Green Inc.
  Applications for Retail Cannabis Licenses - Western Canada

Acquisition of Quality Green 

We are pleased to announce that we are in progress of finalizing partial acquisition of Quality Green Inc., a Licensed Producer based in Canfield, Ontario. Upon closing, Quintet will own 49% of the LP.

Quality Green obtained its cultivation license in October 2017 operating a 1,500 sq ft facility and expects to receive a federal sales license in May 2018. With expansion plans for a second facility in 2018, production capacity will increase to 150,000 sq ft. Sourcing the highest quality products from the earliest stages, Quality Green also imports genetics from one of North America's premiere cloning facilities. 

Quality Green is known for using best-in-practice standards for pest control and plant growth, and the latest tools and tech available along with tried, tested, and true methods to create the highest quality products. Quintet is excited about our partnership and we look forward to growing together as we rapidly approach cannabis legalization in Canada.

Quintet Ventures brings valuable experience to the Quality Green team; we will assist in preparing the first capital raising round.

Retail Licenses in Western Canada

Western provinces have recently begun accepting cannabis retail license applications from proponents interested in operating cannabis stores. Quintet Ventures is taking advantage of this opportunity to expand the reach of our cannabis retail store network. 

Most recently, we applied for five separate retail licenses in Saskatchewan. The provincial government will be determining successful applicants by means of a lottery; confident in our proposals, we eagerly await the results of the government-administered lottery later this month. 

In Alberta, we are acquiring a real estate portfolio to be used for operating cannabis retail stores in the province. Once our search for real estate properties is finalized, we will proceed with cannabis retail license applications for each respective location, with the goal of operating another five cannabis retail stores in Alberta.

The province of British Columbia recently announced the specifics of their licensing framework, and we are consulting with each municipality in which we currently operate our The Herbal Health Centre store locations. We expect the licensing process to be officially announced this spring.

Unfortunately, we did not receive a cannabis retail license in Manitoba. Despite our strong proposal, there were over 135 applications and only four licenses issued.

We are committed to growing our national cannabis retail store network and look forward to sharing the news with you as we acquire new licenses throughout Western Canada.

Alair Vaporizers : Expanding into California 

While there is no shortage of opportunity for our continued success and growth in Canada, Quintet Ventures is also looking to secure its position as a leading cannabis company globally. Currently, we are actively pursuing a golden opportunity to expand into the Golden State.

California represents the single largest market for recreational cannabis, with a population larger than all of Canada (39 million vs. 36 million.) Additionally, California has only one regulatory framework to navigate (while each Canadian province has its own set of rules), making California the biggest revenue-generating opportunity for Quintet. 

To that, Quintet Ventures is working to obtain manufacturing and distribution licenses in order to initiate market expansion of Alair Vaporizers into the world’s largest legal recreational cannabis market.
