Brendan Technologies Inc., which also does business as Brendan Scientific, develops advanced commercial software to provide one standardized software platform for all immunoassay and bioassay testing technologies. The software enables the largest enterprise or smallest laboratory to have the same industry leading data computation and analysis, statistical QC, regulatory compliance, and scalability for all their instruments, regardless of manufacturer. Brendan's software features industry-leading mathematics and methodologies that provide the highest level of accuracy, precision, reliability, and troubleshooting. And the software is easily interfaced to single or multiple workstations and instruments (including multiplex and microarray analyzers), with the ability to upload worklists and download results to any spreadsheet, database or LIM system.
Multidiscipline Development
Team To gain the highest level of functionality and benefit for the laboratory, Brendan employs a multi-disciplinary team to design and produce our software. These disciplines include research scientists, mathematicians, statisticians, systems analysts, and programmers. The people primarily responsible for determining the functionality of the software are scientists who have spent years working in laboratories themselves. The people who support the software also have extensive laboratory experience. With this approach, Brendan is able to design software that integrates the increased flexibility needed for improved workflow with the improved accuracy, reliability and analysis of the most advanced statistical assay analysis and computational methodologies and techniques available in commercial software.
Focus on Accuracy
For selecting or developing the many different methodologies and approaches used in our software, we always follow one basic principle: which method produces the most accurate and meaningful results for the intended purpose. We analyze the objective of each metric and all of the available methods used in the industry to compute them. Then we select the best method available. This approach of continually analyzing how well each method satisfies the objective has led to the advancement of several new methodologies and approaches. For example:

John R. Dunn II is the founder of Brendan and has served as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Brendan since 1997. Dr. Dunn has had extensive experience in hospital and clinical laboratories, including bio-science laboratories. He has set up and run a reference laboratory specializing in immunoassays and been a consultant in immunoassay development and statistics for several clinical and hospital laboratories. Dr. Dunn obtained a Ph.D. in Biology from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, in 1987 and he obtained a B.S. in Biology from Wayne State University in 1974.

Since 2001, Dr. Vermaelen has been the Schroders Chaired Professor of International Finance and Asset Management at INSEAD, a business school with campuses in Fontainebleau, France and Singapore. From 1998 to 2003, Dr. Vermaelen was portfolio manager of the KBC equity buyback fund. Dr. Vermaelen has taught at the University of British Columbia, the Catholic University of Leuven, London Business School, UCLA, the University of Chicago, and Maastricht University. Since 1999, Mr. Booth has been the owner of Booth Publications, Inc., which focuses on sales and marketing campaigns primarily for the pharmaceutical industry. For the five years previous to that, Mr. Booth provided executive recruiting and retention consulting services for large and small company human resource departments as an Account Manager for Pro Staff Personnel Services. Mr. Booth is also on the board of directors of the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, who in July 2006, purchased from us a $1 million 8% convertible debenture with attached common stock purchase warrants.
