We all want to make money. To do that we need to know when to buy and sell. News can change everything, earnings can be surprising, and opinions can be fickle. But charts are a constant. Support, resistance, channels, and indicators are great predictors of the future. They are based on the past and sound mathematical principles.
I have been charting for over 5 years and now consistently make money on short term technical plays, mainly on commodity ETF options. Predicting the top or bottom can be difficult, however we can identify trends / channels, support / resistance, and most importantly, momentum.
Some people buy for news, some on fundamentals, and long hours of research. That takes time, patience, and in the end a good bit of luck. I say we use the information provided by these traders to identify trends and BUY the Chart instead!
My goal is to create a new chart everyday with predictions (standard disclaimer here, but I stand by my calls and will always note when I enter / exit trades or my feelings on trades I am not in). I am open to requests and other charts / opinions are always welcome!
