Currently holding APPA, NAVB, and TTNP. Waiting for APPA to bounce back in the next 2 to 3 months. Looking for a quick flip on NAVP as I bought on the low end of what has been its trading range and holding TTNP through its upcoming approval date. Also researching a few new stocks and looking for 1 or 2 new plays to get into. Happy Hunting!

Sold CLF today at $21.41 for a nice gain. Good 1Q news like I was expecting. This stock should continue to go up over the next 6 month to year but I wanted to lock my gains.

Sorry for not doing more updates to the board. I was out of town most of the week and have not had much time. An update on my positions: still holding APPA at a .40 ave - I believe this one will come back to like in the next month or two and I will be able to sell for a nice little profit. TTNP - looking to get back into this one running up to the 4/30 approval date. Hoping for a little pullback tomorrow to get in.

Purpose of this Board

I created this board as a way to document my venture in making it in the stock market and to help others that are like me. My hope is to share my stock market "ride" with others while sharing my ideas and helping people like me learn along the way. I hope people will come to this board to share stocks, trading ideas, and help others grow as traders and people. I will be posting my stock plays, DD, and account balances so others can see how I am doing, good or bad. If I lose my money everyone will see it the same as if I make $1,000,000, transparency will be my number 1 priority! I will be creating and updating this board over the coming weeks so please be patient with me as I get the board where I would like it to be. My Background

Let me start by saying that I am a regular person like most of you out there. I work a 8:30 to 5:00 job and do not have tens of thousands of dollars to invest in the stock market. I started investing in the stock market about 4 years ago because it has always interested me and seemed like a way to possibly make some extra money. I found this ihub and started reading forums and eventually started playing penny stocks because it seemed like a good way that I could turn marginal funds into something more substantial. As luck would have it on my second penny stock play I struck gold and turned $250 into over $5000, I thought I had it made! Little did I know, and would soon find out, that I did not have a clue what was going on. Over the next few months I lost most of that money back to the stock market foolishly chasing penny stocks that seemed to have all this promise and "for sure" ideas and projects. There were so many news letters that promised to make me rich if I only followed their advice but as I would find out they only wanted to leave me as their bag holder of stocks they sold off. Over the next 3 years I would on again off again play the penny stocks, always coming back to the allure of striking it rich.

About 6 months ago I got burned on what I decided was my last sub penny stock play and decided I needed some more stock education and started reading websites and books on the stock market and trading. I decided if i was going to make this work I needed to take it much more serious and treat it like a job. I came to the conclusion that I did not want to spend the rest of my life going to a 9 to 5 job making others money, while not having the time or money to do the things I want to do in life. You only live once so if I was going to make this a reality the time was NOW! I opened a virtual account and started paper trading stocks so help me learn without losing any of my hard earned money. About 3 weeks ago I decided to take the knowledge I have learned and put some real money behind it. I don't know if the results will be any different this time but I feel I am in a much better position to succeed. I thought that making this board would be a good way for others to follow me and learn just as I am and hopefully see that you don't need tens of thousands of dollars to make it in the stock market. There are sure to be some bumps along the way but I view them as learning opportunities and hope others will learn with me along the way. I will add more to this background as we go but for now I would like to get this board up and running!

My Philosophy and Goals

I am currently trading mostly biotech plays with pending news. I will from time to time trade something else but that is my primary focus at this time. My reasoning behind that is the opportunity to grow my account balance at this time as it is starting out. This my change as I move forward in the future but that is where I am at right now. My goal is to make 15% on any play I am in and to use the power of compounding to grow my account. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

These are my goals for the next 3 years. Are they realistic, I do not know but that is my mindset right now.

Starting Balance - $1500
End of Year 1 Goal - $15,000
End of Year 2 Goal - $100,000
End of Year 3 Goal - $600,000

My Stock Plays and Account

Due to the limited funds in my account while starting out I will only be playing 2 or 3 stocks at a time. Most of my buys are in the $500 range with the option to add more later. I am also currently exploring the world of options. In the future I may add options to my trading arsinal.

These are the plays I have been in since my new venture started.

RIGL in at $4.68 ave - bounce play
APPA in at a $.405 ave - expected approval of PDUFA but company ended up getting a CRL, should only be a few month delay before possible approval
TTNP in at $1.24 out at $1.70
NAVB in at $2.80 out at $2.59 - lots of upside to this company but not trading as expected
CLF out at $22.50 - looking for the bottom on this stock

Looking to get back into TTNP going up to the 4/30 approval date

Looking to get back into CLF with first quarter earnings being announced 4/24
CLF is a company I am familier with as they operate 2 iron ore mines with in 5 miles of where I live. I fully expect this stock to bounce back to around $35, it is just a matter of finding the bottom and timing the play. First quarter earnings announcement could be a good catalyst for this stock.
