Would be nice to see a New Direction for the company come into focus in the coming months.
This stock is essentially dead. But I know how fast things can change in Penny Stock Land. The Land of nightmares and dreams come true.

Our net sales increased $314,140, or 79% to $712,511 in the first quarter 2010 from $398,371 in the first quarter 2009. The Company sold 21.60 tons of silk during the three months ended March 31, 2010, an increase of 8.84 tons, compared to 12.76 tons during the same period of 2009. The revenue from sale of silk was $631,835 in the first quarter 2010, an increase of $373,874, or 145% as compared to $257,961 for the three months ended March 31, 2009.

The cocoon is a raw material for production of silk. There were no cocoon sales in the first quarter of 2010 due to seasonality.

The gross profit margin rate increased 8.66 percentage points to 15.66% in the first quarter 2010 from 7% in the first quarter 2009. This improvement reflects the improvement of silk market conditions and is also the result of our contemplated acquisition of Zhengzhong (see Plan of Operation). The Company started to use its exclusive right through acquired assets of Zhengzhong to purchase cocoons directly from local farmers commencing in the spring cocoon season of 2008. As a result, the Company had better quality and lower cost cocoons.

Total operating expenses were $168,440, an increase of $21,824, or 15%, as compared to $146,616 for the three months ended March 31, 2009. The increase was primarily due to the increase in other general and administrative expenses.

Other general and administrative expenses consist of expenses relating to our back office and general and administrative expenses relating to our cocoon stations. Other general and administrative expenses increased $32,343 to $124,490 in the first quarter 2010 from $92,147 in the same quarter 2009. The increase was primarily attributable to the cost in connection with the application of government subsidy.

The Company received $173,611 and $265,458 net subsidy from local Chinese government during the three months ended March 31, 2010 and 2009, respectively. These government subsidies were in connection with the purchase of cocoons and as an incentive for technology innovation. Part of these subsidies will pass through to the farmers who produced the cocoons when we purchase the cocoons from farmers.

Interest expenses consist of interest paid for short term loans and accrued loan interest expense and default penalties in connection with the defaulted convertible notes. Accrued loan interest and default penalties totaled $342,042 and $342,042 for the three months ended March 31, 2010 and 2009, respectively.

Franklin Towers Enterprises, Inc. It has obtained the approval of the Chinese government to both centralize and modernize the silk industry and the modernization of the key processing plants has been completed.

The Company

The operations of Franklin Silk are located in the southwest region of China in the Chongqing Municipality. The operating company is called Chongqing Qiluo Textile Company Ltd. or simply 'Qiluo'. It is a newly established company that is endorsed by the Chinese government to centralize the silk processing industry. Recent investments have been made to maximize the silk production/processing potential of Qiluo which will co-ordinate each step of the silk manufacturing process.

Workshop begins at the scene management, maintenance personnel office to facilitate encounter problems solved in a timely manner. After the end of the work day, and there are cleaning staff cleaning plant health, there is no health hazard concerned.$

Modernization Project
In order to gain a competitive edge in the centralization of the silk industry in Chongqing, Qiluo had to modernize. First it was imperative to modernize their silk processing facilities by either upgrading or rebuilding and second, they had to bring together what had typically been a very fragmented industry and co-ordinate the entire silk manufacturing process. This process would include everything from sericulture, to harvesting and processing the cocoons, through the manufacturing and exportation of either finished or raw silk products.

To date, approximately US $1.3M (RMR 11.4M) has been invested to build brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing and housing facilities. The investment into the newest high-end silk processing equipment will elevate both the quality and quantity of the silk produced.

The company built eight buildings (located opposite the silk company) in 2006. All families will move in by the end of 2007. Total 20000 m2 = 215278 ft2, at a total cost of 10 million yuan. As well as awards to the company's employees to make contributions, workers can spend minimal amounts to obtain property rights of their housing. Each floor can house twenty workers, all of the Qiluo company workers (400-500). The bottom floor - currently is prepare lease to business - has 32 rooms. Property rights are owned by Xing Sheng-Xiang.
