...So they took everything with court approbation.

A "100% reduction warning" was also in the FAQ on their investor page regarding the delisting, so it was planned BEFORE august !

Yes I hate too when shares are cancelled. You mentioned "traditional Japanese respect for the shareholder" - do you mean we get some satisfaction during relisting of JP3705400004 ?
In last two days we can see very interesting thing - JP3705400004 were trade on 30 and on 31 of december - in total amount 34.14 k of shares - very interesting after 20 days of inactivity.
And how can be trade shares wich were canceled?

I can not belive that company with financial profit can easily delete all shares! in 2012 will shares relisted, but common shareholders will not get nothing !

Yes, all of my money is gone. What I want to know is why do other people still have this stock in their account such as yourself. Don't know. I saw that my shares were gone and my account history said "stock delivered out". So I contacted Scottrade and they told me the stock was delivered out b/c it was deemed worthless. Who the hell knows...LOL.

Waiting here myself. In at .02. I feel pretty good about that price and some days lately i have noticed nice chunks being bought at the ask which takes us up 50% but get knocked down by a small sell. IMO, this is shaping up. Of course with it being BK this can fly or die. Im willing to take that chance from the DD i gathered. IMO, this BK stock is in a better position than most!! :)) What do you think? I can care less about a pump here only real talk please. Thank you

TOKYO (Dow Jones)--Japan Airlines Corp. will likely need another Y100 billion in financial aid as it now expects larger writedown losses from asset valuations, a person familiar with the matter said Friday.

The airline, which filed for bankruptcy protection in January, is preparing to submit a restructuring plan to the Tokyo District Court. But JAL and a state-backed turnaround body--the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corp. of Japan--are "reassessing the value of assets such as fleets," the person said.

JAL last month postponed by two months the submission of its restructuring plan to the court, from an initial end-of-June deadline, as it seeks to flesh out the details of the plan.

The FINANCIAL -- On June 18, Japan Airlines (JAL) applied to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan, seeking antitrust immunity with American Airlines (AA) so that both members of the oneworld(R)Alliancemay enter a Joint Business Agreement (JBA) and cooperate more closely on the operations of flights between North America and Asia.

“We are excited to have taken another defining step towards forging a closer relationship with our partner American Airlines so that we can combine strengths to offer our customers travelling on trans-Pacific routes unprecedented convenience and flexibility.” said Japan Airlines President and Chief Operating Officer Masaru Onishi of what will be Japan’s first ever antitrust immunity application. “With the immunity, we can greatly enhance competition in this region of growth, including at the strategically-located Haneda Airport which will soon commence scheduled international flights. This is an opportune time for both airlines to retain existing customers, attract new travellers and to lift revenue.”

Japan Airlines and American Airlines have jointly submitted the application for antitrust immunity with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) on February 12, 2010.

JAPAN PRESS: Debt-ridden Japan Airlines Corp. told its main lender banks that it expects to be slugged with more than Y1 trln in restructuring costs stemming from massive staff reductions and the disposal of ageing aircraft, the Nikkei reports. It expects Y700 billion in profit from debt waivers. JAL and the banks must now decide how much of that expense and profit should be booked for when, the report says.

JAL to slash 3,600 additional jobs

Embattled Japan Airlines likely will increase the number of staff it will cut by the end of fiscal 2012 to 19,300, up 3,600 from its initial reduction plan, according to sources.

The additional cuts are expected to save JAL about 128 billion yen in labor costs by fiscal 2012.

After the latest round of cuts, JAL, which is undergoing court-administered rehabilitation procedures, will have about 32,600 employees--40 percent fewer than before it filed for court protection from bankruptcy in January.

The personnel target will be included in the airline's rehabilitation scheme to be submitted to the Tokyo District Court at the end of August.

JAL hopes the corporate downsizing will help the airline overhaul its management culture and steadily generate annual profits, the sources said.

JAL decided to ramp up the number of job cuts after financial institutions complained its original target was too low. When JAL filed for bankruptcy under the Corporate Rehabilitation Law, the airline stated in its rehabilitation scheme that it would shed 15,700 workers at JAL and its group companies by the end of fiscal 2012.

The airline also plans to accelerate the job cuts. It had let 3,000 personnel go as of March 31, and plans to cut about 16,000 more by the end of fiscal 2010.

JAL hopes its intensifying efforts to cut staff will encourage financial institutions to approve the new rehabilitation scheme.

The additional staff cuts were made possible after JAL decided recently to increase the number of international and domestic routes it would terminate from 31 to 45.

According to sources, 4,000 JAL employees have applied for the airline's special early-retirement plan, easily exceeding the 2,700 applicants JAL had expected. The airline plans to offer a similar early-retirement plan this autumn, and expects several thousand personnel will take up the offer.

JAL plans to cut staff mainly by selling off its subsidiaries. It hopes to retain as many pilots and aircraft maintenance staff as possible so flight safety will not be compromised.
