Anyone with commodities experience, what do you think of commodities options -specifically now, heating oil?
Example: a March2.10 contract on heating oil represents 42000gal closed at .03/gal today. If it moves just 5 cents between now and March at 420 doll per penny, you would double your money -lots of leverage!

Fact of Day: More money is invested in grain commodity every day then in the stock market!

Commodities are being used more and more by Mutual Funds.

LOL! Good grief, they did it again! <G> I'm pretty sure that's AJ doing that. I'll have to move the bookmarks around this weekend and put all of theirs in one folder so he can just click on that one instead of surfing my bookmarks.

TJ now likes to click on Yahoo finance and check stuff there because he's seen his pop do that.

I'm surprised they're doing this, as they usually just type stuff into the browser when they want to go to a site.

LG, two of my kids (4-year old twins aj & tj) have gotten into surfing my bookmarks in the past week (they've been surfing the internet for over a year). I found they posted something similar on an obscure site on SI last Monday after school. I think they think they're e-mailing or something when they post on a board, and they sometimes send dozens of e-mails to Disney and other characters that auto-reply. They like to see how many replies they can get. They do know how to spell some stuff, but they just find it more funny to type random stuff and send it.

They also like shopping and ordering all kinds of stuff on those kids sites, but luckily they don't have a credit card number ready at the end, so the cart gets dumped <G>

Our 14-month old also likes to type on the keyboard and click on the mouse, but she doesn't know how to navigate and click "public reply" and "submit post" or stuff like that, so I think either aj or tj sent that post.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'll probably have to password protect some stuff or have a different log-in for them.

but the institute for standards of chart gigo-ness,
is trying to keep the charts within a a 600 x 800 pixel range,

The information age is a windfall for bayer,

NYA <----- Bounced at its 15.9% retrace level (501.22) of its 7/24 rally.

My QCharts "Intra Day" Index Group A Chart
Note: As the NYA tested and bounced at the support line
of its Rising Wedge, the COMPX was trading close to the middle
of its in play rising trading channel. As the NYA has dropped
below the support lines of its wedge the COMPX has found initial
support at its 23.6% Fib retracee level (1371) of the rally of
its 7/24 pivot low. I would expect a intra day bounce here. I
look for both exchange composite indexes to extend their
respective retraces.

NYA (SPX) <----- Important to watch is where the price action travels relative to the in play patterns rising support lines. If the shorter to medium-term intra day over sold condition is released via a bounce up along these support lines (which is what the current price action is doing), the next move should be a drop below the support lines.

MM: Yes, the NYA (NYSE Comp) found support at the support line of its in play rising wedge Friday. My shorter to medium-term intra day models legged into the over sold range as the price action approached the support line.

A classic example of one the methods I've been sharing online since 1998.

Matt (http://www.investorshub.com/boards/profile.asp?User=2744) does a good job of keeping the trash off iHub. He handles problem posters with firmness and tact. Of course, he has to know about them before he can deal with them, and therein lies the rub. Somehow, though, he finds them.

In the interest of keeping iHub a pleasant environment for the many fine people who come here, I will occasionally comment on inappropriate posts (and once distressed Augie by doing so). Most times, I'm not the only one who tells the person they are out of line. All but the most recalcitrant seem to respond positively.

I haven't asked Matt to check the antics of an idiot ... YET. That's only because I haven't, personally, been subjected to harassment. I won't hesitate to do so if someone is disruptive or offensive, and does not respond to requests to mind their manners.

I hope you will let Matt deal with offensive people and won't let anyone drive you away.

re: Kitty alergies. Have you ever heard of/tried something called "Feverfew?" It's some kind of herbal stuff you get at healthfood stores. I'm kitty alergic as well, and it really helped when I used to live with a tabby named Yoda.

I don't think he likes me much. One time on SI he posted one of his incomprehensible charts -- I'm sure you've seen them, they have so many "trend lines" on them it looks like somebody was just trying to connect every point with every other point. Well, I was in one of my playful moods that day, so I made a comment along the lines of, "Gee Vitas, that chart would be better if it had a few trenlines on it."

I don't remember his exact response, but he doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor.

And what is his OBSESSION with that stupid 1% UDV thingie? You'd think he'd found the Holy-Farking-Grail or something... Sheesh!

augiboo: Vitas is one of the many SI jerks, I stopped posting on SI to get away from. He just surfed over to Ihub to stir up trouble. That is why his first posts were to da_cheif and I. Two of his stalk-ees.

If he was really interested in contributing he would have posted his analysis on Zeev's thread and let it stand.

The free zone allows the thugs and jerks of the net to log on "for free" and take pot shots at will. While Zeev does not seem to care much, I have tired of the internet thugs and jerks and have no tolerance left for that kind of behavior. If I cannot post in an attack free zone, then I'll just stop posting.

I have never cared if someone disagrees with me, as long as they do it in a cordial and respectful manner. But the fun is just about gone thanks to the many thugs and jerks on the net. I find myself posting more out of boredom now days than for the fun of it, as was the case in the earlier days.

EDIT: The Crystal Ball forum has been for the most part attack free at least for me. I believe you have to subscribe just read the posts.
