Ontus and Nextreme will launch a nationwide marketing initiative to provide Internet Service Providers (ISP's) with a turn-key VoIP solution enabling them to compete with local and long distance phone carriers. This will enable Nextreme's ISP customers to resell a high-margin, recurring range of products and services.

Ontus Announces Joint Venture with the SingTel Group
PORTLAND, Ore., Dec 13, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ontus Telecommunications Corp., (OTC: ONTC) an FCC licensed international and long distance telecommunications carrier, today announced that it has closed on a Joint Venture agreement with Sunrise Internet & Communication Services (PTE), Ltd. of Singapore.
Sunrise is a newly formed, wholly owned subsidiary of SingTel (PTE) Ltd.. The SingTel Group additionally includes Optus (Australia), Advanced Info Services (Thailand), Bharti Group (India), Globe Telecom (Philippines) and Telkomsel (Indonesia). The SingTel group companies enjoy combined savings arising from both bulk purchases, and joint negotiations for infrastructures, provisions and other network applications and expenditures.
The Sunrise joint venture will be managed and operated from Singapore. The joint venture will target both Sunshine's vast broadband ISP audience and the ISP audiences of regional competitors with a combination of traditional and grass-roots advertising campaigns in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and Philippines. The launch is scheduled for 2005.
Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture will deploy the Ontus soft switch to deliver IP-based telephony services to enterprise customers using a range of communications devices including PC-based soft-phones, personal digital assistants (PDA), and standards compliant IP phones.
