What is Potash ? 
Potash: A group of potassium (K) bearing minerals and chemicals
Usually, potassium + chlorine: sylvite (KCl)
Sylvite is almost always found with halite (NaCl; i.e., salt)
Sylvite and halite = sylvinite
Sylvite is also often found with carnallite (KMgCl3•6H2O)
