VIASPACE, Inc. (VSPC) Nears Finalization of 7 MW Power Purchase Agreement

Today before the opening bell, VIASPACE provided the investor community with an update on the Tibbar Energy 7 MW anaerobic digestion power plant project. As reported by the St. Croix Source last week, Mr. Hugo Hodge, executive director of the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA), stated that the authority was nearing a purchase agreement with Tibbar Energy, a proposed biomass electricity company on St. Croix. Hodge said that, in a few years, St. Croix will have 10 MW of electricity coming from industrial solar, 5 MW from net metering and 7 MW from Tibbar, for a total of 22 MW being produced by alternative sources. He estimated that at peak consumption, the St. Croix grid only needed 45 MW, which means the WAPA power plant would only need to supply an additional 23 MW.

Tibbar continues to plant Giant King™ Grass nurseries, and aims to create a 1,000+ acre plantation to fuel the 7 MW anaerobic digestion power plant. The company is currently testing irrigation options and large scale planting procedures. “We have started to develop an impressive farming operation in preparation of our finalized power purchase agreement (PPA),” stated Tibbar CEO Tania Tomyn. “We have purchased tractors and additional equipment. We are proud of our new farm staff and they are integral to the progress so far.”

Tomyn continued, “As WAPA stated in the St. Croix Source article, there is a lot of work that goes into balancing Tibbar’s base load power with WAPA’s. Tibbar will be unlike intermittent wind and solar as we will produce continuous dispatchable power 24/7. Our computer system will be tied to WAPA’s and will use the latest technology to efficiently work together.”

Tibbar is also educating the public and generating awareness on a variety of levels. For example, on April 17th and 18th, Tibbar sponsored and presented at the St. Croix Earth Day Eco-Fair. According to Tibbar CEO Tania Tomyn and Farm Manager Bob Peets, “We educated hundreds of children from dozens of St. Croix schools about renewable energy. Tibbar was the major sponsor and we had a fantastic turn out teaching children about Giant King Grass and why bio-energy crops are part of our future.”

Bergamo Acquisition Corp. (BGMO) Enters Investment Agreement with National Wealth International

After today’s closing bell, Bergamo Acquisition, a global investment holding company, announced that it has signed an investment agreement with National Wealth International Ltd., a privately held investment company.

Bergamo Acquisition’s wholly owned European subsidiary has been provided with cashed-backed securities consisting of three separate tranches of US $500 Million issued through HSBC Bank, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations. These funds from National Wealth International will remain on deposit in accounts held by Bergamo Acquisition’s European subsidiary.

According to today’s press release, all profits spawned from the use of the funds will be deposited in full to the bank of Bergamo’s European subsidiary company. These profits will be divided 50/50 between National Wealth International Ltd. and the European subsidiary company of Bergamo Acquisition as mandated by the profit-sharing agreement.

Bergamo Acquisition also told investors that the parties have agreed that no less than US $88 million, or its equivalent value in Euros, shall remain on deposit in the account of Bergamo Acquisition’s European subsidiary for a period of one year. This amount represents the initial profit earned from the first US $500 million cash-backed securities investments entered into between the parties previously, as set forth in Bergamo’s most recent consolidated financial report compiled by L.L. Bradford & Company LLC, a public accounting firm based in Nevada.

USA Recycling Industries, Inc. (USRI) Plays Growing Role in America’s Recycling Industry

Although the idea of recycling is nothing new, few people realize the scope or growth of the modern recycling industry, or the size of its potential. Modern recycling is relatively young, with only a few decades under its belt. Nevertheless, nearly one third of all solid waste generated is now estimated to be recycled in one form or another. This is a remarkable figure considering the immensity of waste material produced on a daily basis in industrialized nations like the U.S.

According to the EPA, Americans, separate from industrial waste, generate roughly 250 million tons of trash each year, a figure that has understandably been on the rise as the population increases, although the per capita generation of waste has leveled off, and even slightly decreased. The EPA says that, nationally, we now recycle and compost just over 85 million tons of such solid waste, providing an annual benefit of more than 186 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions reduced, comparable to the annual greenhouse gas emissions from over 36 million passenger vehicles. In addition, they indicate that recycling and composting more than 85 million tons of such material has resulted in the saving of more than 1.3 quadrillion Btu of energy, the equivalent of over 229 million barrels of oil. So recycling is now a big and very serious business, increasingly seen as critical to achieving the world’s environmental goals.

USA Recycling is fast becoming a lead player in American recycling by providing a growing network of recyclable waste collection and disposal service centers. These centers are currently focused on serving the automotive aftermarket industry, where they collect scrap metal, used tires and batteries, and even used motor oil and lubricants, from automotive service centers around the country. The material is then sent to steel mills, re-refining centers, and other operations where it can be safely processed to stay out of America’s landfills.

On November 29, 2010, the Board of Directors appointed Richard B. Carter, Esq. Director of Bookmerge Technology Inc. to the position of President and CEO and will hold the position of Chief Financial Officer.Mr. Carter, age 47, in charge of finances, human resources, state and federal compliance permits and licenses and all other financial and legal aspects of Extreme Green Technologies Inc. (EGT). Mr. Carter owned his own law firm and real estate sales/consulting group for several years and sold the practice to co-found EGT. Prior to owning his own firm, Rick was a partner with a large Orange County law firm specializing in defending businesses, insurance companies and high net worth individuals in multi-million dollar businesses, contractual and tort litigated cases. Rick was in charge of the construction defect department for the five California offices of the firm and supervised the associate attorneys and staff. Rick worked his way through the ranks from administrative assistant to handling payroll, payables, billing and financial statements before becoming a law clerk, then associate attorney and eventually partner during his 17 year tenure with the law firm. Rick is a licensed Attorney at Law and Real Estate Broker with Juris Doctor and Bachelors in the Science of Law degrees along with completion of UCI Graduates classes for light construction and development financing, in addition to ongoing bio diesel, legal, real estate continuing education. Mr. Carter’s employment agreement with Extreme Green Technologies, Inc. provides for a seven year term for $48,000 annual salary with 3-4% annual cost of living increases; annual salary increases and stock bonuses based on company performance; stock options for 300,000 rule-144 restricted shares at .10¢ per share.

On November 29, 2010, the Board of Directors appointed Joe Spadafore, to the position of Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. Joe has extensive experience in business and multi-million dollar real estate transactions. Most recently, Joe has been ranked in the top ½ percent of all Prudential California Realty agents nationwide, specializing multi-million dollar residences for over 17 years. Joe employs and supervised up to 15 agents with his wife. Joe previously owned retail liquor stores for several years while also working as a police officer and hostage negotiator for the City of Los Angeles for 15 years. As part of his focus on ecological commercial development that enhance his real estate practice, Mr. Spadafore became disenchanted with the American dependence on foreign oil, the funding of American problems overseas and the effect on our economy. In 2007, he decided to turn his attention to eliminating these problems and co-founded EGT. Mr. Spadafore, age 53, is in charge of marketing, sales and over-all general operations of EGT. Joe has successfully negotiated contracts with numerous restaurants and food manufacturers for the collection of waste vegetable oil and brown grease interceptor/grease trap services. The brown grease interceptor/trap business provides EGT with additional cash flow and additional waste oil accounts. Joe has also negotiated a deal with an existing algae oil production company that has successfully tested algae oil for use in biodiesel.
