IMAX has gone steadily up which only makes it a worse buy.

Even the ex-CEO/chairman is still taking more out of the company every quarter than their entire profits through his unfunded pension, horrendous stock grants, and the even newer SARS which take cash straight from the company without even having to go through the bother of worrying about shares.

This stock does well when external events like Avatar, which they have nothing particular to do with, carries the stock up. It drops like a stone as soon as new investors realize that the "management" (who are actually Wall Street leveraged buyout bankers) are draining the company as fast or faster than it can earn.

Fair warning. Get in if you want and get out before the other new investors realize what is going on.

David Faber rips IMAX a new one, Stock has gone nowhere and says you have been saying the same thing for years now.

IMAX doesnt have enough theaters to break even with these films loser!!

Hollywood abandoned IMAX and so did DISNEY!!!

Where is Disney now?

Warner is going to leave as well!!!

The cost of prints near 4 million bucks is way to much to breakeven with even after production costs of near 15 million per film.

IMAX closed 2 theater in JAPAN in Q1 2004
IMAX closed 1 theater in SOUTH AFRICA in Q2 2004.
IMAX lost a theater to conversion.

IMAX BRAND has no protection and IMAX management have no plan to protect it either!!!

On that note producers should not count or trust IMAX with their BRAND.

2,000,000 million in sales is just 140,000 buckeroos in royalties.

From that they have to pay the franchises a fee. What does IMAX get thereafter?

Like i said the number of shares outstanding in just 2 years have gone from 32 million to 40 million shares out.

Even if they bought a few more it doesnt matter. They are beating an old drum and trying to support the stock cause they cant understand why BROKERS and BROKERAGE FIRMS rate them so lowly.

IMAX needs to do 10 weekends at 2 million for POTTER just to garner 1.4 million in royalties.
