Welcome to the GVPB: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=5444

1. Thoughts: - A well picked penny stock could provide an ROI (return on investment) hundreds of times greater than on any larger market investment. - But, one has to have a good understanding of penny stock trading; risks involved (BK, R/S, etc.) and follow some basic rules, and apply lots of common sense.

1.1 For the beginners: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/hub_grps.asp http://www.21stcenturyinvestoreducation.com/page/tce/?sid=1082061020.9460 http://www.stockpatrol.com/archive.php?id=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0812043006/002-5113674-4344040?v=glance&n=283155 http://www.investopedia.com/university/mergers/mergers4.asp or you can run your own Google (or whatever) using, for instance: "penny stock investors," "penny stock firms," "penny stock market," "penny stock companies," "penny stock company," "pink sheet stocks," "penny stock fraud," "one market maker," "penny stocks," cited in the above site.

1.1.1 Learn the basics: http://maxpages.com/traders/TRADERS_LINKS 1

1.1.2 Learn why some stocks went up, while others went down: http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/industry/focus.asp?siteid=mktw&bcind_sid=171602&bcind_ind=T....

1.1.3 Learn how to detect “Fakes:http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/05_06/b3919001_mz001.htm?campaign_id=nws_insdr_jan28&am....

1.1.4 Learn to detect, and avoid scam stocks (best example: GWDB):  http://www.geocities.com/p2saup33/index.html

1.1.5 Learn all you can about those pseudo companies that make a good living (using your money) printing Billions of shares: http://i1img.com/images/today/cartoons/620.gif

1.1.6 Learn about the industry your stock belongs to:  http://biz.yahoo.com/p/industries.html If you don’t understand the business, and especially if the company is heavily promoted by those many shameless crooks, you better stay out. For educational purposes, you might want to follow the future “XSNX” saga, that being in my direct area of expertise, I can alert you with a large degree of certainty that it’s one of the biggest scams (fakes) since Enron.

1.1.7 Worth reading technical newsletters (free subscription):  http://www.wealthdaily.net/newsletters/mar06/032806.php http://www.bpm-today.com http://www.mckinseyquarterly.com/newsletters/topten/2006_Q1.htm http://www.nature.com/nams/svc/myaccount http://www.newsfactor.com (I'll add more, in time; suggestions welcomed)

1.1.8 Pump-and-Dump schemes:  http://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/pump.htm

2. GVPB Scope: Finding undervalued OTC:BB (OB) stocks that have:

* A Price/Sales < 1 (the lower, the better). If anything above a P/S ratio of 1, it better be good, otherwise you are in violation of the basic rule of GVPB

* Proven Revenue & positive Book Value

* Aggressive Y over Y (YOY), and Q over Q (QOQ) growth

* Already EPS positive (or close to it)

* Low OS; and low Float (insiders own and keep/buy more shares)

* No previous R/S history over the last several years

* For a reason or another sitting at or near the bottom.

3. GVPB Board Rules:

- Your picks should generally abide by the above criteria. You only should post the alert on your choice after at least you did a basic DD on it. If you own the stock for a while, only post the alert when you honestly believe it has approached its near bottom.

- No spamming, hyping, pumping, or bashing. Furthermore, this IS NOT a chat room.

- Discussions should be short, at the subject, and objective. Anyone can (and is encouraged) to post any documented (you should provide a link) positives, negatives and personal opinions on any stock, w/o any restriction. If you have a good reason to believe our choice is a scam, please let the rest of us know why. You might be right.

- No aggressive language, or personal attacks allowed. - Try avoiding pinkies. In my experience, on average they are too risky, and a decent DD on them it’s a tough job most of the time.

- Experienced investors (traders) encouraged to provide pertinent, honest, short answers to the new comers. Avoid taking advantage of their naivety, and/or inexperience. Always remember, we’ve all been there once.

4. Choosing Good Value Penny Bottoms

4.1 You can either go with all those many newsletters, usually charging you a fee, and/or tooting a stock they already have and they want to get rid of (pump-and-dump schemes). In this case, this board might not be your best choice. For you, something like this might work better: http://peterleeds.com/picks.htm, http://www.tipreporter.com/ http://www.wealthdaily.net/ or choose from: http://206.26.195.200/showstopperstocks/?t

PS: Try avoiding pump-and-dump sites like this: http://www.stockwire.com/blog.htm. Whatever sounds almost too good to be true, it’s usually just that (best example: the XSNX scam)

4-2 Find them yourself, at or near the bottom. This, in my experience, although very time consuming, and painful, it’s the ONLY good way to go. If you indeed intend to make some money, you have to accept the pain of doing yourself a decent DD on anything you pick. “No pain, no gain,” I always say.

4-3 Where to find them: * Best (direct) source, IMO: http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/marketsummary/screener.asp?exchange=118&view=5&lookup=Look+.... Note: If you are following the above, or any other OTC:BB market screening tool, in my experience, on average you would expect to only find a good one once a week, or so. This takes much work.

4.4 Several other good market screening tools (you should be aware that some of them involve hyping, and other pump/dump schemes): http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/process/insider/top10insider.asp http://www.otcbbtrader.com/portal/goto.dll?cat=110 http://www.globalpennystocks.com/?ABCDEFGH http://www.wallstreetreporter.com/ http://screen.yahoo.com/stocks.html http://www.worldtradestocks.com/pages/732989/ http://www.petroleumstocks.com/markets_WinnersAndLosers.asp?losersorwinners=losers http://www.allpennystocks.com/apsc/us/hot_otc_bb_penny_stocks/index.htm http://www.investorguide.com/news-and-commentary.cgi

4.5 Choose from, and follow some of the sites below as often as you can: http://www.americanbulls.com/ http://www.allpennystocks.com/apsc/us/index.htm http://www.otcbb.com/asp/default.asp http://www.otcpicks.com/quotes/CANM.php http://www.stockgrid.com/ http://pennymarkets.com/ http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/pennypicks/ http://www.talkaboutinvestments.com/group/alt.invest.penny-stocks/ http://www.pennyinvestor.com/oldnews.htm http://www.winningstockpicks.net/?f http://www.stockprowler.com/ http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/OTCplayers/ http://host.businessweek.com/businessweek/Historical_Quotes.html?Button=Get+Quotes&Format=0&.... http://www.wallstreettape.com/ http://www.thestockster.com/

4.6  http://www.investopedia.com/stock-analysis/052213/after-big-recovery-rally-its-renew-blue-best-buy-bby-hgg-amzn-wmt-hd.aspx

5. Basic DD (the duty of the person posting the alert) Before posting an alert on a potential GVPB, please make sure most of the criteria in paragraph 2 are met. For a first look at your choice, you can use: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=wnyn.OB Check out, at least: the Profile (# of employees, etc); the Basic Chart; Key Statistics; Insider Transactions, and Finances. If the criteria (especially the P/S<1 requirement are met), you can post your alert.

6. Advanced GVPB DD, Opinions and Discussions. If good enough, this should be a team effort.

6.1 1. Suggested DD - Example [/b  http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/filings.jsp?symbol=tewi

Charts: StockCharts.com: http://stockcharts.com/freecharts/gallery.html?TEWI (2.2) Barchart.com: http://quotes.barchart.com/texadv.asp?sym=tewi
(3) Basic DD:

(3.1) Latest PR's (read at least the last 10 to see the trend), insiders’ activity, Y over Y, and Q over Q financials, etc.: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=tewi.OB (3.2) Key Statistics (including Price/Sales ratio, book value, OS @ Float, etc): http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=TEWI.OB

(4) Better DD: http://www.ddmachine.com/default.asp?s=tewi.ob

(6) Maintenance-type DD:

(6.2) What others are saying: http://www.boardcentral.com/

7. Team Effort.  All of us, working as a team, can put together a MB that would help all those visiting GVPB: whether experienced, or beginners. A good DD takes a team effort. Some additional sites for a good DD:

7.1 Momentum:  http://www.otcbb.com/asp/tradeact_mv.asp?SearchBy=issue&Issue=wnyn&SortBy=volume&Month=2....

7.2 Search for news:[/b]  http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=ush-groups&p=gdvi http://tools.thestreet.com/tsc/quotes.html?osymb=wnyn&pg=qcn&timer=&symb=gdvi&go_btn.... http://investorshub.com/boards/quotes.asp?ticker=IVGA&qm_symbol=wnyn&symbol=wnyn http://tools.thestreet.com/rmy/quotes.html?pg=qcn&symb=WNYN

7.3 Internet search.  On can use any good (e.g., Google) search engine for the company, its top Mgmt (CEO, CFO), and their past history. You might find something that doesn’t sound right.

7.4 Retail and Institutional Investors:  http://thomson.finance.lycos.com/lycos/iwatch/cgi-bin/iw_ticker?ticker=vfin 7.5 Level II – (if you don’t already have it): http://www.otcbb.com/asp/Info_Center.asp
