Email from Keith (CEO) regarding the new rig and it's virtues:
About this rig, the size is a bit misleading, the truck is only a mobile platform, if you will notice the rig it is where the beef is. We lower the jacks/pads and the truck will not or barely touch the ground dispersing the weight. This is very compact and mobile, in harsh conditions like we work in size and weight is our enemy.
Also about the depth of what we can service... that is all weight dependant, 10 to 12 tons is the limit. About 75% of the rigs in SE KS are 8 ton and intended for very shallow light work. Basically this rig will go down in excess of 2000 feet with the heaviest possible load (casing @ 9.5 pounds per foot) it can go deeper with lighter weight equipment. 4000 to 9000 feet (if we had that much cable installed... which we dont.) Most all 90? 95% of the wells in South Eastern KS are 1500 feet and shallower. So we have capacity to spare. Spare capacity = safety.
