**¶** TRUE PICTURE of Posts NUMBERS on iHUB/SI...

interests this thread, which is so far the Flagship of iHUB in terms of number of messages posted.... Admin recently noted that posts numbers on iHUB went from 500 to 1500 per day and currently hovers in the 1000 to 1500 range, which represented about 1/3 of SI...

My prior monitoring showed the posts numbers on iHUB were in the 700 posts range per day and that while iHUB counts public and PM's together, SI doesn't... When there were 15,786,030 Public posts on SI, there also were 8,575,059 PM's, showing that PM's represented about 35.2% of total posts on SI... There is no reason why it would be much different on iHUB and I'll adopt 35% for the PM component on iHUB, as a rule of thumb...

Here is a more accurate picture, which I plan to monitor regularly around 2:00 am EST

Date SI Public iHUB Dif.SI Dif.iHUB -35% PM cor.

11 May 785,897 99,812

13 May 793,458 102,047 7,561 2,235 1,453

So, when the iHUB numbers are corrected down by 35%, to account for a similar ratio of PM's on SI, where they're not included in the overall figures, one gets a clearer picture: iHUB has less than 1/5 the amount of Public posts found on SI...

So, of the current 102,634 posts currently on iHUB, only 66,712, approximately are actually Public Posts... Interestingly, 3 of the threads I chair, out of the more than 600 currently represented on iHUB have a combined total of 10,501 posts or NEARLY 16% of total public posts currently on iHUB...

While SI averaged 3781 Public posts/day, iHUB only had 727 posts/day, calculated over a 2 day period, between 11th and 13th of May... This is exactly in line with my previous observations...

SEVU: 8,639
F.GEMS: 1,382
EXHIB: 480
TOTAL: 10,501

Perhaps I was terminated, so that others could catch up...<g>

Catch up, I am sure they will, eventually... The conclusion is that iHUB needs to calculate its PM's numbers separately, to avoid giving a False impression and to be on a comparative basis with the competition... It's a matter of fairness, as I'm sure a small band of fanatic posters could whip up 500 "one word" PM's in a day to twist and distort the figures to their liking...

I am not saying it happened, BUT, it could...

JMHO, F. Goelo + + +

PS: The new post number at 2:06 am is 102,669, which, minus the last reading of 102,047, gives us exactly 622 posts per day, a slight reduction in numbers since I have began monitoring the figures over the last 2 months...
