Subject: How to Create & Post Charts at iHub

Before you can upload a chart to iHub, you have to first create a graphic file of your chart. Here is one way to go about it ...

1. Go to Stockcharts.com (http://stockcharts.com/index.html)
2. Choose "SharpChart" (Style) and enter a symbol of your choice (Symbol)
3. Manipulate the chart settings to your choosing ... then click on "Annotate"
4. Add your annotations ... then on your keyboard, simultaneously click the "prt sc" (Print Screen) and "alt" ... to "capture" the screen image
5. Open Paint (program on our computer) ... then paste the image by clicking "Edit" ... "Paste"
6. Use the "Select Tool" (dotted square at top right on tool bar) to draw around the chart area you want to post
7. Click "Edit" ... "Copy" ... then close the file without saving it
8. Reopen Paint ... then use the paste command again ("Edit" ... "Paste")
9. Save the Paint file to your computer ("File" ... "Save")
10. Give the file a name (File name) and use "BMP" (Save as type) ... PNG, GIF, JPG are good, too in that order

Now you're ready to upload the file as follows ...

These steps are intended to cut out lots of other possible steps that might be too confusing. Stockcharts has a great annotation feature so you can easily do anything you want to the chart. ImageShack is a free image hosting website that is rarely down (have used others which are flakey at best) with a simple user interface.

===========================
If you want to crop your charts before posting them, follow these instructions:

1. After pressing the "prt sc" (print screen) button on your keyboard, opening Paint, and pasting the image ("Edit" ... "Paste"), do the following ...
2. Select the "select tool" in Paint (click on the dotted square at top right of tools menu) ... and then draw around the chart in your pasted image
3. Click "Edit" ... "Copy" ... then close the file without saving it
4. Reopen Paint ... and use the past command again ("Edit" ... "Paste")

... your new file should now contain just the chart alone (and not everything else that was screen captured).
