PSL3 TOURNAMENT - THE BASICS:

Ironically, we have exactly the same number of contestants that we had in PSL2 - 88. So, the tourney will be done the same way.

The first round will be 3 weeks and the next six rounds will be 2 weeks.

The top-40 performers in PSL2 (who are also in PSL3) will get first round byes. The remaining 29 contestants who were in both contests plus the 18 first timers plus Avandaly (who was in PSL1, but not PSL2) make up 48. Those 48 will play in round one. The 24 winners will be placed with the top 40 who had byes and that will compile a 64 person group - which is the normal 6 round tournament.

Round one:

Top 40 BYE

#41-#58 versus 18 first timers (inverse alphabetically selected)
#59 versus Avandalay
#60 versus #69
#61 versus #68
#62 versus #67
#63 versus #66
#64 versus #65

After each round, the remaining field will be reseeded based upon each person's to-date returns. The best will be seeded against the worst. Thus, the seeding is 100% dependent upon the returns for the tournament up to that round. However, what dictates a win or loss in each round is 100% dependent upon the returns for THAT round only.
