Much of the details of The American Bankruptcy is addressed by Representative James Traficant, Jr. (of Ohio), who in addressing the House, entered into the United States Congressional Record (March 1, 1933, Vol. 33, page H-1303) his views on the subject.
(-bartermania- Well, this one is tricky. Louis T. McFadden was the Congressman who attacked the Fed. in 1933 for the record. But, in 1993 James Trafficant aparently was the one who attacked the Fed. and entered info. about the US bankruptcy with this reference# " Vol. 33, page H-1303". A subject as complex and buried as this one is...overall...needs to be carefully studied and considered...always.)
“Necessity knows no law” (for example, the law forbidding killing is voided when done in soft-defense).
(-bartermania- Is there any such thing as "soft-defense"? Or was self-defense perhaps meant here?)
The U.S. bankruptcy occurring in 1861 placed the country under Emergency War Powers (12 Stat 319), which has never been repealed and exists in Title 50 United States Code (USC) §§212, 213, 215, Appendix 16, 26 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Chapter 1 § 303.1-6(a), and 31 CFR Chapter 5 § 500.701 Penalties. The Civil War was not fought over slavery, but over private bank control of America. On October 6, 1917, the United States passed the Trading With the Enemy Act (H.R. 4960, Public Law 91), granting itself extraordinary additional powers under the cover of WWI.

There may be some others...but, these are the ones I picked up. Even so, it is the best single article on this board's subject that I've yet seen...it's very well condensed.
