Check 21. I spoke with the Gavitec representative about the check 21 initiative and I actually talked to them for a while about their e-ticketing and mobiel phone payment platform. I was quite impressed with them. They basically already have the whole platform to do the check 21 stuff. The Gavitec rep said that Neomedia had pursued the check 21 stuff, but that Gavitec had the best solution in the world for it.

Also I asked him what the advantage was of their payment system versus just a smart card, like the new mastercard paypass. He said that they are able to implement the system with a very low fee to merchants so they can significantly undercut the costs of credit card payment systems. I was incredibly impressed with the potential Gavitec has.

I will provide more info later about my experience at the SHM. I just started with this one because it was the first one I came to as I was reading through everyones posts.
