Meeting perspective:
If this appears too long, please skip to 'business' perspective
Personal:
During the course of the 20 hour trip, comments were made by the dedicated posters to the lurkers (yours truly included) to post and I feel compelled not to ignore them. The face to face with the Ihub group , who felt like a second family, was exciting from the start… sensing ‘madcat’ to be an Ihuber at the airport and going up to a total stranger to ask whether he was in Florida to attend our meeting was a blast. The fact that he was actually there for the same purpose was just as strange. What are the chances? After getting into the courtesy van, the first person to step in happened to be ’crusher’, soon to be joined by another fellow lurker. As we started to talk (loudly) about neom, I was beginning to feel better already. The airline crew that joined us for the ride to the hotel was probably not.
Later, got to meet hangdog, ss9173, the gleanings, james, the lady with success (not sure if its ok to mention names)and our relentless moderator success622, whose dedication was appreciated by all and who shared her thoughts on this evolving phenomenon. Thanks success! Also a word of thanks to hangdog for ‘never a dull moment’ and grabbing the bill at the end of the evening. Thank you to ss9173 for driving me and two of our new Canadian friends (crusher and fellow lurker) from the hotel to the meeting, to the Micropaint location and then dropping us at the airport - curbside in the pouring rain, no less - and by further refusing to take our contribution towards the rental car…. I look forward to the next SHM when you guys might want to do it all over again.
All joking aside, it was a pleasure meeting everyone.

Business:
Next post - I have to see if this works. However, I was very excited to learn about the upcoming promotion we’re doing with ’Starbucks’. It has potential to generate interest to a much wider group.
