Things that make you go Hmmmmm!!!!!

As I’m getting ready to let my Brain shut down for the long holiday weekend ahead it just hit me that I think we may have missed one of the most significant things that I felt was learned at the meeting…..(apologies if one of the other attendees did mention this or perhaps my brain truly ‘Just GOT IT’)

The hidden Gem here is that in a well designed ‘Mobile” campaign the value to the advertiser is in not only how to Get to us…. But what They Get FROM us… Remember, these type of campaigns will need to be permission based so for the most part if the user gives them “permission” they will get very detailed info about the demographics of their end customer Who (M/F Age etc), When did they… Where were they… What offer did they go for…. Normally advertisers will spend X amount of dollars on a campaign, but in most cases they really do not get as much valuable feed back as to how successful was the money spent. This is not the case if they reach a customer via a mobile ad. When a group of us were talking with Chaz after lunch, a “light went off and I truly realized just how incredibly important Mobile advertising will be strictly from a statistical information point of view. If you understand the importance of my ramblings here then you understand that Neom is positioned at the foundation of a market that will dwarf anything that GOOGLE/Yahoo etc. have done to date for advertisers.

Advertisers will be able to glean statistically important information from every single participant in these campaigns in a way that they have never truly had…. Now…. Do you see just how this type of advertising is not only going to be the way of the future, it will be absolutely a requirement for any advertiser. Would Burger King allow McDonalds to run a campaign that gave them this kind of information about their customer base and not do the same?!?!?! Now think about any/every major company that has a competitor…. Ford/Chevy/GM/BMW etc…. there is no way one will allow another competitor the exclusive option of obtaining that kind of information about a potential customer and not also work to gain the same information……

Knowledge is power….. and in this case any company that can offer advertisers a way to both “Reach” us and “Learn” details about our “Who, When Where and Why’s” is truly going to be able to turn that knowledge into cold hard cash....

Now for what's truly important..... I feel very lucky after this week to think that there are a number of people in my life that I consider new Friends!!! To all of you and the board as a whole I hope you have a Safe and Happy 4th of July!
