dc, ok....pay attention ...it has to be mastered in sequence...

Lesson 1: The grip.....this sounds elemental, but take it serious, as the proper grip can increase your club head speed 10 to 15 miles per hour....

I will assume that you are right handed, if not transpose....

Hold your left hand straight out from your body as if you were going to shake hands with some one...next, place the club in your left hand at the BASE of your fingers(the base meaning where your fingers join your palm)with the club pointing straight up to the sky forming a right(90 degree) angle relative to your left forearm. Close just your fingers around the grip. You should now be holding the club solely with your four fingers. Next place your left thumb on the center of the shaft(not to the left or right, directly on the center). Then fold your left palm over the shaft. It must be in that sequence.......fingers, thumb,.. then palm. This is a neutral grip. Why the neutral grip and not a strong or weak grip? Because later you will see that you will not square the club at impact with your hands....you will square it with your body...

If you have done this correctly, when you place the club on the ground, it will tend to orient itself with the toe pointing to the left. In order to square the club, you will find that you will have to stiffen your left elbow. (Ever heard the phrase, "Keep you left arm straight!"...???? now you know where that comes from....

Lesson 2 and 3 will follow shortly.....I will wait and see if some have questions regarding Lesson 1.....
