Rev D *was* high voltage and power so it is an exact analogy. AMD have plenty of time while P4 remains the main volume weapon in Intel's armory. In fact having 65nm in high-volume parts is a very good way to ramp 65nm so it wasn't exactly a lie wink. However the leaked roadmaps showing 90nm still as the highend part should have given everyone the clue that that was not the whole picture wink. However AMD have done this before with 2.6 GHz 130nm FX as the highend part when the 90nm D stepping was released at 2-2.2 GHz so it is not unprecedented wink. Also remember the first 130nm K7 stepping which was hot and only went to 1.8 GHz ? Or the first 180nm K7 at well under 1.4 GHz ? Seems to be more the norm than not here wink.
