Before I show the match-ups, I want to mention a few things.
1) There are 85 contestants. In order to have the classic 64 tournament field, it is necessary to have 21 first round (elimination) games. That will eliminate 21 people. (85 minus 21 equals 64). There will be 32 match-ups in the second round.
2) Rounds 1-6 will each be two weeks long. PSL4 is only 13 weeks - ending on December 15th. That means that the final round (Round 7 - Championship) will be only 1 week versus PSL2 and PSL3, where it was 2 weeks.
3) All 85 contestants were seeded (1-85) and that seeding is used for both the individual tournament (round 1 only) as well as the team make-ups. The individual tournament field is reseeded after each round based upon the performance (to date) in PSL4.
4) The seeding is based NOT upon PSL3, but rather the cumulative average return for previous PSL contests. That will be the criteria for future seedings. If a person participated in either 2 or 3 PSL's, they qualify for the first group. Those 66 people are seeded 1-66 based on their average return. There are 13 who have participated in one PSL. They are seeded 67-79 based upon their return in the one PSL contest they entered. Finally, there are 6 new-comers. They are seeded 80-85 alphabetically.
Here are the 21 first round match-ups. Two weeks long.
