Re that sham HTDS Tubercin patent filing:
Chung et al. isolated from M. tuberculosis a substance having an anticancer activity and used this substance, designated as Tubercin-3, in treating terminal-cancer and leprosy patients as well as laboratory animals suffering from tumoral symptoms [Chung, T. H., J. Korean Med. Ass., 17, 427-431(1974); Chung, T. H. et al., Yonsei Med. J., 17, 131-135(1976)].

From US patent 6,274,356 Chung, et al., August 14, 2001

Leprosy is a bacterial infection!

So - Tubercin is effective on cancer AND bacterial infections. To extend that teaching to include viral infection as well seems no big deal to me - certainly NOT an inventive step. Ask Shapiro! He's willing to take $30K and run. he knows the score!!!!

The SEC Must Go!
And jail shorters.
