Your Man in Natchez #9:

We then traveled to Natchez to view the Production Facility. This is where the 200 reactor tubes will be built. It is right next to the Mississippi River.

This is a 1/2 million square foot building in a U shape. It is HUGE. We used golf carts to travel around inside.

These are steel/parts for the First Tube:

A railroad loading spur runs alongside the facility

There is a large T dock not far from the building, with room for 4 large barges at a time.

The first soybean load has already been delivered and is ready to be processed

We then traveled to Vidalia where the Validation/Demonstration will be held tomorrow at 11AM. Vidalia is directly across the river from the Production Facility in Natchez. We were given a police escort. I now know what high level dignitaries feel like while traveling........lol

This is the site where the power generation facility will be built. The power grid substation is right there, and ready to be switched to Green Power!

We then traveled to Vidalia City Hall. All is in readiness for the Big Event tomorrow:

While we were there, an old diesel engine with over 1,000,000 hours, and filled with biofuel was started up. Again the engine ran much cooler than a regular engine. I've rented heavy equipment many times, and I have to tell you, that engine ran very smooth and quiet, with a nice steady rhythm. I actually put my hand on the exhaust manifold after it had been running for 20 minutes or so. It was quite warm but not hot. You do that to a regular running engine, and your skin will melt....lol. The ramifications of this are tremendous. Engine wear will be drastically reduced. Oil changes can be done much less frequently, etc etc...

On the left is the rep from the Pratt and Whitney/Generator liason team.

Then an unexpected event took place. A lady bug had landed on the exhaust muffler of the engine. It was calmly just crawling around.

It's now 20 to 2AM, and I'm calling it a nite.

Remember that the validation/demonstration tomorrow can be seen via LIVE webcast. It is going to be a historical event!!!
