ANNOUNCING A "ONE STOCK FOR ONE YEAR" VMC CONTEST:

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water for a month until PSL5, now here comes "OSFOY1". Actually, I hope someone will come up with a clever name (or acronym) for the contest.

This should be a very simple proposition for you. Bobwins, SSKillz and myself (based on the book by BBOTC) have come up with what we believe is a nice simple new contest.

1. Pick a single stock that you believe will outperform during 2007 before midnight December 31st. But, I recommend you do it soon so that you won't have to keep hearing from me. smile If you do make your pick early, you can change it up until December 31st at midnight. If you are making the pick or the change at 11:59PM on December 31st, it is legal..... but you seriously need to get a life - although I'll probably be on IHUB then myself.

2. The ONLY two requirements on the stock are that it must be trackable on Yahoo and it must 25 cents or more. We are not concerned with earnings, market cap, reporting or volume. Those are all irrelevant to this contest.

3. Multiple people may pick the same stock. There is NO first come, first serve.

4. One freeze can be used at anytime during the year if you so desire. You all know what a freeze is. That means the stock's price is frozen at the close of the day you did it. And, when you do that, you are done for the year. But, we all know that lots of our stocks go bananas at some point and if you would have sold it in real life, you have your chance to mimic that by a freeze.

5. When a person picks their stock, we will ask that you include some DD that is the reason for you picking it. The link to that post of yours will be with your name in the IBOX. Then, if anyone wants to see who anyone else picked (and why), they merely need to go to the IBOX, find your name in alphabetical order and click the link to see it.

6. After the initial write up when picking the stock, you can have up to three additional DD posts about it during 2007 (so a maximum of four). You are not required to make four DD posts, but it goes without saying that if it is a stock you believe in so much as to pick it as your pick of 2007 that you would have some things to say. Whether you only make one additional DD post or three additional DD posts, the link to each will be in the Ibox under each person's name. We are limiting it to four because this should not be about promoting a stock. It should be about DD.

7. The results will be posted monthly.

8. There will be two winners - 1) the person whose stock is the highest at the end of the year regardless of freezes and 2) the person who had the highest gains (including their freeze). They may or may not be the same person.

Since this is a DD contest - as opposed to just picking 6 stocks without ever saying a word why - we think the VMC DD board is the perfect place for it. Here is the link. http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=3266 If this board is not already a favorite of yours, please make it so.

We are not posting this (or promoting this) on PSL4 or VMC or anywhere else. This is a invitation-only contest. Obviously, if someone comes along and wants to participate and understands the DD aspect of it, then we will probably agree, but we are not making anyone else aware of it other than those that we know have participated in good DD discussions in the past.

So, let the game begin. We will begin setting up the IBOX as we have entries.

REMEMBER: Please post your original DD with your entry on the VCM DD board. DD can be whatever you deem important to you.
