Is there a heavy-duty Oracle expert in the house?

SI's public message table has run out of extents. So far, I've failed in my attempts to add a partition to it. I'm not an Oracle guy and currently am barely past the "WTF is an extent?!?" phase, which is way past where I was an hour ago.
