I'm not as good at DD as alot of you experienced investors out there but here goes.

CPTC

2026 McGaw Avenue
Irvine, CA 92614

Website: http://www.compositetechcorp.com
Phone: (949) 428-8500

My 3 reasons for liking CPTC at this time.
1. They are now generating electricity from wind
2. They are now making wire sales in China
3. They are in process of shoring up management

This company was once the darling of the VMC board. The speculation of doing in business in China drove the share price to 7 times what it is now. And then the dreaded bankruptcy announcement. I can understand how alot of people won't look at this due to getting burned before.

The company went the bankruptcy route as a means to protect itself from others wanting to take over the board and thus the company. At the time it didn't look like shareholders interest were at stake but I feel the company did everything possible with the shareholders in mind. Many bankruptcies result in shareholders losing everything but this wasn't the case.

CPTC core business was producing high voltage electrical lines that reduced the high temperatures and had less sag. The prospect of selling this wire in China, which sorely needs it, was the force driving the share price to over $7. Well, the prospecting is over. CPTC has made a couple of sells increasing in size in China already. The latest order is for $4.1 million with delivery in 1st quarter 2007.

CPTC subsidiary company DeWind Limited has installed and is operating a 2 megawatt wind turbine in Germany. This test should allow them to become certified as providing clean power directly to the power grid. Once the certification process is done I expect many doors to open in this enviromentally friendly venture.

And last but not least, CPTC is organizing their management by re-assigning responsibilities to new people. They just hired a CFO who has top connections within the industry. I expect future deals to be done through his connections. And as slow as the utility industry is at doing things, his presence just might speed up any deals.
