OK heres mine....

This pic is a lil crooked, guess its the way I had my arm, but you get the picture.. Its a lil blurry to so less detail can been seen.

I got this tat when I was 17 many moons ago.. It all started with a buddy of mine who had a tat and was thinking of getting another one. We were both into the Grateful Dead and he had this really cool skull on his belt buckle that was from a dead album so I said hey, thats really cool, why don't you get that? He was like na, I'm getting this other one, why don't you get it? Who me? Hell no, my dad would kick my azz lol BUT the bug was in my now.. for several days I dreamed about it, having a tat. Back then you didn't see many high school kids with tats. Didn't have much money either so being that my 17th birthday was only a few more days away I asked my parents for the money and told them what it was for. They actually let me have it and paid for it.. They were strict parents from Ireland but gave in.. The old man told though, if you come home with ear rings, your out of here lol

What I seen in it.. I thought the one eye skull was cool and it had a tribal feel with the long feather along with a mystical feel to it.. I dig that stuff. If you seen the setting that it was in, it was the skull in the desert with an Egyptian type back round.. The Dead have some wild art.

What it means to me now.... I still dig it because its a big part of me, its been with me 25 years now and if it could talk, I'd be in deep shit lol I had this tat through my wildest days. Just last week while shopping at the store, I was walking up the isle and this guy in a suit walks buy and says "cool tat" he recognized it from the dead album. Lots of dead heads out there still, not just hippy looking peeps but well to do people. Dead touched alot of people in the last 40 years and still do.
