INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT: ELIMINATION ROUND (3 weeks):

We have 88 contestants and 15 weeks.

What that means is that we need to reduce it to 64 players with 12 weeks to go. With 64, that means 6 rounds - as most know from the NCAA tourney. Each round would be 2 weeks. That makes 12 weeks.

The elimination round would have to be 3 weeks to equal 15 weeks total. That would mean that 40 players get byes and 48 play 24 elimination matches that last 3 weeks each.

The 40 players that get byes are the same as in the past - meaning the top-40 (participating) by virtue of their combined average return (minimum of 3 contests).

The remaining 48 players were seeded by return (assuming 3+ contests), then by return (assuming 1 or 2 contests), then by newcomers. The 24 Elimination Round match ups are below.
