Updated Satellite Surveillance <LOL> (Cherokee 140) today indicated some progress in Montgomery County. Looks like we have a gravel road going in...finally, the ground might be getting hard enough to bring in the drillers with their heavy iron. Also some other dozer work going on...perhaps capture/containment pits for drilling?

Here's my call to everyone for a reality check...there's only 24 hours in the day, and while it was too muddy to drill they had a choice to either sit on their butts, or find something productive to do.

Keith and Craig, it seems, have been finding some very productive activities. It sounds like Keith has been lining up funding so when the ground is hard we can have ample resources to create a "production line" of drilling, perfing and completing going on. This should prove to be much more efficient than one well at a time start to finish, and waiting on availability of the driller's, perf, fract boys, etc... Saves on "call out" fees as well...a single call out fee and perf 3-5 wells instead of just one, etc. Same for cementers, drillers, etc...quicker, cheaper...and just as effective. Since Hemi announced that the financing would be paid for by production, getting as many wells producing as quickly as possible makes sense for both Hemi and Wilshire. How many wells? I don't know...but lots, if I am reading the tea leaves about Wilshire correctly.

Craig, it seems, has been doing a lot of research and working with closely with the locals to line up more acreage and...as is evidenced by the recent PR of the signing of additional lease acreage. I can only believe this is because his ongoing field and library research has supported/confirmed/validated data lost to the sloppy early record-keeping but captured in the "the book of Hemi." I expect the details of their findings and expectations to be held very tight while they negotiate for the mutiple SQUARE MILES...of additional contiguous leases (to add to our multi-acres)that was mentioned in the PR.

Back to today...
So now there is some sun and firmer ground to work with (without incurring extraordinary surface damage claims from the landowners). Keith PR'd, just a few weeks back, that he was going to drill for gas in Montgomery County.

My plain talk opinion follows:

Looks like he is doing it! Gravel road is going in, dozer prep work going on--visible progress. No, we aren't there yet kids...but enjoy the trip. Please refer to my previous post (linked below) so you will recognize the "scenery" and know when we have arrived. It's going to make for a GREAT summer, IMO.
