Updated Satellite Surveillance <LOL> (Cherokee 140) reveals some nice sunny weather...was a great week for flying...had several nice sorties this week. Lots of observations from my bird's eye perspective...Flew by the seat of my pants but followed my nose to the smell of some mighty fine BBQ in Woodson County earlier this week. Lots of locals smiling, jawing and eating...Hemi hats in great demand...business cards exchanging hands...some handshakes going on...bodes well for expanding Hemi's Woodson County leases in the not too distant future. Smooth move by KAA and CLT...locals always welcome and appreciate that kind of neighborly gesture...Hemi's good reputation with the KCC opens the doors to more than a few landowners as well. Moved on after they noticed me circling above...didn't want them to think I was a buzzard or something.

Next day saw some Hemi pickups 4-wheel playing in the mud on some of the new leases. My GPS alarm went off a couple of times, perhaps they were locating some choice new sites in Woodson. Nobody got stuck, so maybe the land is drying out a bit too. Strange, I thought I got a whiff of gas while flying over the North 40, so I turned back south to our other leases...better safe than sorry...sure didn't expect that in Woodson County.

The "down under" Woodson leases (around Reno) were also looking good. The Hemi Pumper caught a few catfish at his campsite that he held up for me to see...real nice ones--I hear he shares them with the some of his local buddies too--That's got to win over a few hearts, minds (and stomachs) for Hemi too. Also, I noticed that a couple of the Tank Batteries at Woodson had some kind of construction going on...I could see some nice shiny new ladders on the tanks, but not sure what (if anything) else might be going on.

Saw a truck come pick up some Hemi oil...so the weather didn't keep the existing wells from filling up the tanks...that's for sure! But it was coming from the wrong direction...interesting!

Flyby over Montgomery County lease revealed that the road looks to be completed with rock now. All heavy equipment has left, presumably done. Road is centrally located, maybe for access to multiple drilling sites in the future without damaging land--smart! Definitely some fine dozer work has been done...looks for sure like a pit from up here. Used my long distance radar and scanned the horizon for heavy metal...looks like some might be headed that way.

Ironically,...I started to run low on fuel and had to RTB.

Anyway, from what I saw...things are firing on all cylinders for Hemi in both Woodson and Montgomery Counties--I think the BBQ may lead to new leases; oil production is definitely still happening, some new drilling and some number crunching concerning new opportunities is going on (CLT had his shoes off in the back of his Avalanche pickup truck counting his toes to cypher some dang number). IMO, it looks like Montgomery may get started first, but Woodson looks like it's prepping for some action as well. The way those 4-wheelers were playing in the mud, I'd say someone was happy about what they saw on the "North 40". Now if we can get some of those Drillers to stay home in Kansas (saw a whole convoy of heavy Iron headed to OK--Tonkawa)we'll be in high cotton...err oil, that is! I have a feeling that CLT and the "cash payment when drilling is complete" policy will convince one or two to stay home and drill for Hemi.

It's going to be a great summer!

Oh yeah...the weather forcast???
No hurricanes for Kansas...again! <VBG>
