Advanced Systems, Inc. Now Authorized to Accept Task Orders Under the VETS GWAC

The Veterans Technology Services Government-wide Acquisition Contract (VETS GWAC) for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) has a potential overall value of $5 Billion.

(PRWEB) February 3, 2007 -- In a statement issued today, Advanced Systems, Inc.'s (ASI) President, Dr. Robert Walker, announced that Advanced Systems, Inc. (ASI) is now authorized to accept task orders under both functional areas of the General Services Administration's (GSA) VETS GWAC to provide technology services to the Federal Government. This five-year contract will be the major vehicle for implementing Public Law 108-183 (Veterans Benefit Act of 2003) that establishes a goal of three percent of the value of all federal procurements for SDVOSBs and the President's Executive Order 13360, Contracting with Service-Disabled Veterans Businesses.

Interested Federal, State and Local government agencies can learn more about SDVOSB requirements and the procedures for placing orders using the VETS GWAC from the dedicated Team ASI Web site, www.VETSGWAC.com, or the ASI Web site, www.ADVSYSTEMS.com. "The VETSGWAC.com site was meant to be a comprehensive reference for government offices to receive all the information they need to understand how they can meet their SDVOSB requirements using VETS and how Team ASI can provide the specific skills and customer-centric management to meet their most demanding technical requirements," said Walker. Team ASI includes a diverse set of companies, most of whom are SDVOSBs. A select group of larger companies such as Advanced Research Technologies, Inc., L-3, Digital Fusion, Advanced Technology Systems, Inc., Pragmatics, JHT, Digicon and KPMG provide specialized capabilities to round out Team ASI. Government agencies interested in learning more about the VETS GWAC can contact ASI at 703-218-3360 to obtain additional information about the VETS GWAC and Team ASI.

Founded in 1988, Advanced Systems, Inc. is a privately held company that provides specialized management, engineering and information technology products and services for government and commercial clients.
