I spend about $500 a month for insurance..Most times they expire worthless...For example..The XLF $19 PUTS are extremely cheap..We are talking about $.03/contract...The $24's I can trade...Most of the "long stock" I keep in my portfolio would probably not get hit as bad as someone holding a financial..I prefer defense stocks NOC being my favorite and has a nice % of my portfolio...
