Vimpel Communications (VIP) NewsBite - Vimpel Revenue Misses Estimates Posted on Wednesday, June 04, 2008 1:39 PM Vimpel Communications (VIP) opened at 34.60. So far today, the stock has hit a low of 31.97 and a high of 34.70. VIP is now trading at 33.34, down 0.56 (-1.62%). The stock hit its 52 week high of 45.48 in December and set its 52 week low of 18.01 in August. VIP rose during the second half of 2007, but has shown signs of weakness this year. Vimpel Communications reported today its first-quarter profit more than doubled to $601 million lifted by strong revenue. Technical indicators for the stock are bullish and steady while S&P gives VIP a neutral 3 STARS (out of 5) hold rating. If you’re looking for a hedged play on this stock, consider an October bear-call credit spread above the $45 range. VIP stock could rise up to 35% before expiration and this position would still be profitable. http://www.marketintelligencecenter.com/articles/627866
