RELATED SYMBOLS: (BSTI)
ATLANTA, May 17, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- BioShield
Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BSTI) announced the Company's revenue
increased to $841,054 for the third quarter ending March 31, 2002 as compared to
the third quarter ending March 31, 2001 -- a 102% increase. Sales for the nine
month period ending March 31, 2002 also increased 102% to $1,955,201 as compared
to the same nine month period in the previous year. The year over year quarterly
and nine month sales increases were attributable to stronger demand in
distribution and licensing of the Company's core antimicrobial line of products
and the repositioning of its marketing strategy during the past year. In
addition, Bioshield believes that increasing demand for its products, both
domestically and internationally, can facilitate continued growth due to the
heightened need for a safe antimicrobial alternative that is environmentally
friendly, resistant to adaptation and mutation, and has a broad range of
applications.
