BioShield Technologies Receives New Amendment Use Approval from The EPA
Utilizing Its Water-Based Active Ingredient (AM 500)

BioShield Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BSTI) received today from
the EPA the amendment, submitted in connection with registration under section
3(c) (7) (A) of the Federal, Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide
Association (FIFRA), to add to its list of approval uses, the new use of the
BioShield water-based active ingredient (AM 500) as a spray on latex paints,
stains, coatings, films, laminates and finishes as well as directly added in
can paints to control the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew and algae for
indoor or outdoor use.
While this industry has maintained stable growth and has already been
approached by BioShield to incorporate its antimicrobial products, the focused
market niche of environment~~~y friendly biocides represents a $200 million
industry with significant growth prospects. Governments, industry and large
populations are increasingly concerned about environmental pollutants which
has created a heightened need for an eco-friendly solution against the
damaging effects and illnesses caused by mold, mildew, fungi and bacteria.
