The Jeff Mitchell's and other hedgie and MM defenders are celebrating. They believe this is the end of the groundswell against naked short manipulation. I'd like to think it's more of a beginning. It will get some people interested.
The reality is that we can't expect much from a 15 minute network TV piece. This is a complicated issue, one that the person on the street is not now interested in because he feels that it doesn't affect him.
If there is a stock market crash and the investigations that follow show that the game is rigged by MM's and hedgies, then the average person will get involved. Until then, it's up to the investment community, particularly those who follow microcaps, I.e., YOU and ME, to keep pressure on Congressmen, the SEC and state AG's.
