New Screen DVD arrived, I watched it, then I came right here, to report as promised.

What to say?

I was impressed!

Left looking for more!

The DVD was only 1hr. and 5 min. long, recorded at 2PM on October 18, 2005. Kinda reminded me of A&E and PBS rolled into one. Very professional in appearance and most came with a message, if you know what I mean. Not that deep a message, mind, somewhat close to frivolous at times, but a message, nevertheless. And that was good! Educational, colorful, interesting and new - all good stuff. And very well put together, not what I might have expected.

The titles:
A documentary on the sea, pollution, fish and coral reefs (forgot to jot down the title) (6 minutes) - very colorful and a message against pollution.

Line on masculinity
Two gals discussing men and the various kinds fitting in a range along that 'line' (6 minutes) - quite humorous.

The Fan
An animation short (4 minutes) about a girl, hot weather, the sun, and a cooling breeze from her oscillating fan. Not sure what the message was - 'life' and the sun as the source of it all, maybe.

Stealing Innocence
This was a rather sad and sombre tale on the Israeli/Arab conflict which shows that person to person friendships can be destroyed by nationalist issues. The message? Peace!

Awaiting Winter
At 21 minutes - the longest of the bunch - and the most endearing, to me, at any rate, about a girl going back to where her grandmother met a pilot in the war, WW1, and her search for her roots. Tuscany - very picturesque, with hard working residents making ice in the fall and winter and storing it for sale during the warmer seasons. Nice little movie - the maker knows what he is doing, for sure! A 'UFO' film - I shall remember THAT name and look for more.

All in all a pleasant experience!

Does that mean New Screen will succeed marvelously?

I hope so!

It would be a shame that we are not able to see the stuff I viewed today in their absence.

They deserve to succeed.

WRCF, Orlando, New Screen, Ch 29, signing off. wink

BTW, many thanks to Naseem Shah of New Screen Television for the effort. The DVD was made on the 18, mailed on the 21st and received today, the 25th.
