NEW YORK, Dec 6 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve said on Thursday it was draining reserves from the banking system via overnight matched sale-purchase agreements.
Federal funds were traidng at 1.875 percent at the time of the operation, below the central bank's 2 percent target for the rate.
